The system contains drive, brake, gears and other details. The work has been carried out in commission by Peter Almstedt at AddMobility with the purpose to develop a product witch makes the manual wheelchair easier to manoeuvre and reduces the physical effort for the wheelchair user.<\/p>\n<p>The work has been carried out according to a certain product development process witch can be divided into five phases; gather information, product description, concept design, detail design and discussion.<\/p>\n<p>During this process, a construction for the system was developed. The work was mainly performed through concept generation and computer aided design using the computer program IDEAS.
